Aryna Sabalenka

Sabalenka was born in Belarus in Minsk. Her father Sergey (d. in 2019) was an athlete in ice hockey. Aryna Sabalenka was born on 5 May 1998, in Minsk Belarus. Aryna is the holder of 12 WTA Singles titles. One of which was named 'Grand Slam' at the Australian Open 2023. As a doubles player, she's also an outstanding player. She's been a winner of two Majors with Elise Mertens. They won The US Open in 2019 and the Australian Open in 2021. It was the Sunshine Double was achieved by Elise Mertens and her in the year 2019. Together, they won WTA 1000s in Indian Wells & Miami. Only four teams from women's doubles to pull off. Her ranking went from second to third on the singles world rankings on the 23rd of August in 2021. Her highest rank was achieved again in January of 2023. Following her victory at the Melbourne doubles tournament in February 2021, she was able to move up the rankings to take the first spot on the list of that particular specialty. Dmitry Tursunov (a former Russian tennis player) coached her for part of the 2019 season as well as from the year 2018 until closing. Dieter Kindlmann also served as her coach for short periods from August to September of 2020. She has been trained by her native nationman Antonio Dubrov since the end of 2020. Serena Williams & Maria Sharapova have been her inspirations.
